With 3,500 solar panels we are taking a giant step in reducing our CO2 footprint.

With 3,500 solar panels we are taking a giant step in reducing our CO2 footprint.

Solar panels: a clean source of energy

The 3,500 solar panels on our roofs cover 10% of our energy consumption. In total, these solar panels generate an average of one million kWh of electricity per year. That is equivalent to the consumption of about 400 households. Incredible progress in reducing our CO2 footprint.

Clean production

By installing the solar panels, we have taken a big step towards achieving cleaner and sustainable production.  The remaining 90% of energy we consume is supplied by other green and renewable sources. By an energy supplier providing us with green power.

Why solar energy?

Solar power is one of the cleanest energy sources when it comes to CO2 emissions. This is one reason why we completely covered the roofs of our production halls with solar panels.

The World's Most Durable Titanium Zinc

With a fully optimised production process running almost entirely on electricity, we have reduced our gas consumption by as much as 70%. This, combined with our choice of ever cleaner energy sources, ensures that we are making our contribution towards achieving the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. And it means our zinc is the most sustainable zinc in the world.
